Research clearly shows that, in spite of large-scale social and political changes, women still bear the primary responsibility for housework. Hence, the emergent neoliberal feminism not only forsakes the majority of women by splitting female subjecthood into the few worthy capital-enhancing female subjects and the disavowed rest, it also facilitates the creation of new and intensified forms of racialized and class-stratified gender exploitation. Yet, given that reproduction continues to present a stumbling block in this conversion process, reproduction and care work are increasingly being outsourced to other women deemed disposable because not properly responsibilized.

By encouraging these women to build their own portfolio and to self-invest in the years once thought of as the most fertile, I further suggest that neoliberal feminism is increasingly interpellating middle-class women as human capital. Providing two representative examples-the glorification of college hookup culture and the new technology of egg freezing being offered as part of corporations’ benefits packages-I demonstrate how upwardly mobile middle-class women are being encouraged to invest in their professions first and to postpone maternity until some later point. I begin by showing that not only is a neoliberal variant of feminism on the rise but that this feminism is producing a new form of neoliberal governmentality for middle-class women, one based on careful planning and smart self-investments in the present to ensure enhanced returns in the future. This article examines the contemporary embrace of feminism by the mainstream media and among high-powered women. We implore scholars to continue this important research and conclude this article with insights on future research and activism. Despite a call for action by Angela Davis in 1985, Black women's unique and varied intersectional experiences around sexual assault and disclosure are understudied. We situate this review around three major areas of marginalization: (a) the delegitimization of Black women as victims of rape, (b) the social construction of Black women as inordinately strong, and (c) the sanctioning of intraracial sexual assault disclosure. This article reviews the literature on the ways in which Black women's sexual assault disclosure experiences are framed by their unique social space at the margins of society due to systemic oppression based on race, gender, and class (Settles, Pratt‐Hyatt, and Buchanan). Department of Justice finds only one Black woman out of 15 will report her rape. Considerados filmes produzidos de 1981 a 2019, obteve-se 205 peças cinematográficas.Aplicados os critérios de inclusão e exclusão, restaram 39 filmes para análise.

Os filmes foram acessados por meio do site IMDb (Internet Movie Database), usando os descritores: women, business, career e manager. Diante do papel do cinema de reproduzir e produzir elementos sociais e individuais que envolvem a vida privada e profissional de mulheres que ambicionam ter sucesso nas suas carreiras, o presente artigo possui como objetivo analisar como os filmes retratam os desafios que as mulheres enfrentam para avançar em suas carreiras através das lentes das metáforas da desigualdade de gênero. As obras cinematográficas são consideradas eficientes para avaliar a sociedade e os ambientes de trabalho, pois refletem a maneira como a sociedade, de modo geral, pensa, age e se comporta sobre determinados assuntos.
